Case Study

Jindal Polyfilms

One of the 1st Rooftop projects in Maharashtra with Captive + RPO obligations

Located in Nashik, Jindal Polyfilms is the largest manufacturer of BOPET and BOPP films in India. With an installed capacity of 3 MWp, this Rooftop Solar Plant at their Nashik factory is one of the largest single location rooftop plants in Maharashtra. It is also the 1st project that is installed for Captive Consumption as well as to fulfil RPO Obligations.

We built the total capacity of 3MWp using 10,000 nos. of solar panels spread across a roof of over 30,000 square meters. Apart from the metal sheet roof which was pretty old, the numerous skylights and turbo-ventilators on the roof posed serious obstacles which were cleared out during the design stage. The execution was even challenging with the hot air and smoke emitting from the exhaust, and the access to the roof being very difficult.

Despite the numerous site challenges, this project was successfully executed in September, 2016.
