GMR project –
2 MWp
(IGI Airport Cargo Terminal, New Delhi)

2 MW Rooftop Plant installed on New Delhi Airport

The prestigious project of installing 2 MWp Solar PV Plant on the rooftop of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport at New Delhi on its Cargo Terminal Building is yet another feather in our cap.

The project was awarded to Harsha Abakus by GMR, the company that operates the IGI Airport, New Delhi. The rooftop of the Cargo Terminal is a metal sheet roof, on which our module mounting structure is connected. The structures are so well designed that the plant has withstood several storms.

Amongst other things, care has been taken during design and execution that the reflection from the solar modules does not affect the flights – something that could have been dangerous. Our Operation and Maintenance team is currently maintaining the plant regularly.

Capacity:
2 MWp, 1.75 MW

Type:
Rooftop – metal sheet roof

Indira Gandhi International Airport (Cargo Terminal), New Delhi
